Ambria escaped to Chicago 10 years ago as a teenager, having lived a somewhat nomadic childhood in rural Illinois. After getting expelled from high school for going to the library instead of class too many times, she worked in antiques, in-home elderly care and telemarketing. Eventually she decided to study film and video at Columbia College Chicago, where federal grants and loans got her through two years. She's now studying Humanities at Shimer College. Ambria is passionate about learning things and learning how to be a better person. She currently chairs the Programs Committee and does "Human Resources" at Benton House, which she continues to try to find a better way to label. She is also spearheading the Benton House History Project. She welcomes your archiving tips.
