September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign mobilizing the public to take action on the issue of hunger. Benton House will be screening a documentary that "peels back the curtain on the problem of food insecurity, weaving together the stories of low-income Americans who struggle to put healthy food on the table, despite the fact that they have jobs." (NPR)
As we've mentioned in our blog, hunger in America is real, despite the issue's absence in popular conversation. We'd like to take some time to connect Benton House's anti-hunger efforts (namely, our food pantry), to the bigger, nation-wide problem of hunger. What does hunger in America really look like? Join us Sept 25th to find out.
